Hi girls,
Well, I am not trying to turn this blog into a "food blog" but I really had to share this strawberry shortcake recipe I made for my bf on Valentine's day. This recipe screams easy that even a 5 year old can do this with zero help, and it's absolutely delicious.
What you need,
1 store bought angel food cake
10 Strawberries halved
1 bottle whipped cream
1 tbsp sugar
Mix the strawberries in a bowl with the sugar and let it rest. In couple of minutes you will find that the strawberries are coated in sugar and are becoming glazy, which is how we want it. Break the angel food cake into bite size pieces and place it in the the bottom of a sundae/wine glass. Top it with whipped cream and then layer it with some of the strawberries. Repeat the same process with another cake, cream, and strawberries layer. Wola! you have an amazing strawberry shortcake in less that 10 minutes.
When I served this to my boyfriend yesterday he was amazed because I was in the kitchen for less than 10 mins. I was also able to turn around my reputation as a horrible dessert maker ;). So try this out whenever you want and serve your guests and witness them being amazed with your culinary skills:)

Simple healthy workday lunch
Hi all,
I'm posting a simple recipe for all the working girls out there to bring as lunch. The inspiration for this salad is Corner Bakery's spinach sweet crisp salad. After trying it a bunch of times I thought why not make this at home; it's easy, healthy, and would save money.
So here you go:)
I'm posting a simple recipe for all the working girls out there to bring as lunch. The inspiration for this salad is Corner Bakery's spinach sweet crisp salad. After trying it a bunch of times I thought why not make this at home; it's easy, healthy, and would save money.
So here you go:)
Ingredients:
1/2 bag of spring mix
1 clementine peeled and halved
5 strawberries quartered
10 grapes halved
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1 raisin pecan sweet crisp broken into pieces
crumbled goat cheese
raspberry vinaigrette dressing
Of course you can alter the ingredients according to your taste. What I did was first lay the spring mix on the bottom of my lunch box and then layer the fruit on the top. That way the fruit wouldn't sink to the bottom. Then I sprinkled goat cheese on the top. I packed the sweet crisps and the dressing separately so it wouldn't get soggy. During my lunch break I just added everything together and mixed well. It was delicious:)
I bought raisin pecan sweet crisps from Corner Bakery and they are amazing. If you cannot find them maybe you can substitute a crumbled crunchy oatmeal raisin cookie for it? Or you can use some kinda honey roasted nuts instead? Experiment girls, experiment.
I hope you guys try this low cal, tasty, simple dish and if you did, let me know what you think:)

Hi again!
I have been away for a while from my blog due to a number of things that have happened in my personal life. However, after all the bad and depression........I am so glad to say I got a new job! and I started working this Monday!
My new job is as a Solutions Engineer at Sprint! I don't want to bore you with details on my job but I can happily say I love it! Well, let see how it goes in the long run but I am glad finally to have a job that I can use my brain on and feel interested in the work.
So with all this happening in my life I neglected my blog and am very ashamed of it. I have been getting multiple followers on bloglovin (Thank you so much!) and i don't want to disappoint them or any of my readers. Please keep and ear and eye out for my future posts which I am preparing to do in the very near future. Also, I am thinking of incorporating youtube videos on my posts which I think is a really good medium to reach out to people.
So, see you guys in my next post and wish everybody a lucky new year!!
